Cajun Cheese Ball

There is a lot of “retro” food that very deservingly faded with time (salad aspics, e.g.). However, the cheese ball is under appreciated in modern times. Here is a Cajun seasoned version:

Cajun Cheese Ball (makes 2):

  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, finely shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 yellow onion, minced
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder or paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp cajun seasoning mix

Mix the cheeses, garlic, onion, worcestershire sauce, and half of each of the nuts, chilli, and cajun seasoning. Form into two balls. Mix the remaining nuts, chilli, and cajun seasoning. Roll the balls in this mixture. Serve with crackers.
